CYBER CRIMES-A MAJOR THREAT TO THE CORPORATE SECTOR

Of late, both manufacturing and service sector has undergone a rapid modifications followed by a series of fundamental developments. Most noteworthy among them is the rapid development and advancement in Data Technologies as well as communication system. This has changed the idea of on-line activities, and has been instrumental behind broadening the dissemination of monetary data along with lowering the price of several financial activities. Unauthorized control/access over laptop or computer system
 Possession of unauthorized information.
Cyber terrorism against the government organization.
Distribution of pirated software program etc.

Pornography (basically child pornography).

 LEGISLATION COVERED:

            INFORMTION Technologies ACT, 2000 

Hacking with computer system.

(1) Whoever with the intent to trigger or knowing that he is likely to trigger wrongful loss or harm to the public or any person destroys or deletes or alters any data residing in a personal computer resource or demises its value or utility or affects it injuriously by any indicates, commits hack.

(2) Whoever commits hacking shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years, or with fine which may extend up to two lakh rupees, or with both.

From the aforesaid passages, it is felt that, government  should take required actions to evolve a suitable policy to  eradicate the crimes by means of details and communication technologies.This will enable the company to grow, ultimately there is a possible to improve the  GDP of our country.
